Identification of tolerance to metribuzin and imazethapyr herbicides in faba bean

چکیده
Weeds cause serious constraint to faba bean (Vicia L.) productivity. Broad weed control is hampered by the availability of postemergence herbicides them, as current cultivars are highly susceptible them. Therefore, deployment herbicide tolerance desirable in bean. To address this, 130 accessions were screened for their response mature plants under field conditions recommended dosage two herbicides, metribuzin at 250 g a.i. ha?1 and imazethapyr 75 Marchouch Terbol stations. The recorded damage score (HDS) varied from 1 (no visual damage) 5 (full with death more than 50% plants) both locations. Low but significant (p < .01) positive correlation (+0.26) was obtained between HDS Both significantly delayed flowering maturity time occurrence, reduced plant height grain yield, increased number branches. Reduction index (RI) correlated positively station different seasons 2016–2017 seasons. Eleven tolerant identified further evaluated 1×, 1.5×, 2× dose herbicides. results indicated that harmful effect on yield reduction intensified 13.4 27.2% ?7.6 1.8% respectively 500 150 ha?1. Tolerance eight confirmed no yield.

Evaluation of Drought Stress Tolerance in Some Faba Bean Genotypes Using Drought Tolerance Indices and Biochemical Compounds
In this study, different genotypes of faba bean were evaluated for Tolerance index and biochemical compounds under drought stress. 21 Genotypes of faba bean were studied based on RCBD design with three replications in two irrigation treatments (including normal irrigation and drought stress) during two cropping years (2018-2019) at Gorgan Agricultural Research Station. Based on the potential (Y...

abstractgrowth of b. japonicum isolates at different concentrations of herbicide used on soybean was studied as factorial experiment arranged in a completely randomized design with three replications. isolates b1, b6, b43 and 0, 0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 folded of the recommended doses of trifluralin, metribuzin and imazethapyr herbicides were considered as factors. isolates populatio...
متن کاملidentification of sources of resistance to the black bean aphid, aphis fabae scopoli, in faba bean, vicia faba l., accessions
in several parts of the world, important yield losses are caused to faba bean due to attack by the black bean aphid aphis fabae scopoli. although resistance could be a good alternative to chemical control, its genetic basis is still largely unknown; and its phenotypic expression is still poorly described, making crucial the permanent evaluation of genetic resources available in different countr...
متن کاملIdentification and Verification of QTL Associated with Frost Tolerance Using Linkage Mapping and GWAS in Winter Faba Bean
Frost stress is one of the abiotic stresses that causes a significant reduction in winter faba bean yield in Europe. The main objective of this work is to genetically improve frost tolerance in winter faba bean by identifying and validating QTL associated with frost tolerance to be used in marker-assisted selection (MAS). Two different genetic backgrounds were used: a biparental population (BPP...
متن کاملAdvances in Faba Bean Genetics and Genomics
Vicia faba L, is a globally important grain legume whose main centers of diversity are the Fertile Crescent and Mediterranean basin. Because of its small number (six) of exceptionally large and easily observed chromosomes it became a model species for plant cytogenetics the 70s and 80s. It is somewhat ironic therefore, that the emergence of more genomically tractable model plant species such as...
